Influencer of the 20th Century.

Paul Strand (1890-1976) was one of the greatest and most influential photographers of the 20th century.

His images have defined the way fine art and documentary photography is understood and practiced today. Working with the team at the V&A Museum, I had the privilege of bringing to life the marketing campaign and exhibition design to showcase over 200 objects spanning Strands entire career.

Strand’s portrait of Angus Peter Macintyre - Hebrides 1954 was chosen as the star piece for the marketing campaign to draw visitors in with a taste of the raw-edge intensity of Strands work. Inspired by mid-century movie posters and Strand’s own collaborative book projects, the image was paired with timeless typography and rolled out across an integrated campaign including outdoor, digital, print and event invitations on Colorplan Papers with copper foil.
